Nevertheless, Episode 4 Recap

Although Na-bi has found the courage to act on her feelings for Jae-eon, her doubts continue to persist and haunt her, especially when the mysterious Jae-eon is not around. Episode 4 kicks off with both of them lying in bed as Na-bi stares at him, letting her thoughts torment her peace. At the university, they both have breakfast together, and Na-bi quietly wrestles the urge to invite Jae-eon on her birthday two days later. After much deliberation, she decides to spend the day with her mother, who once again neglects her on her special day.

Jae-eon spots her at the subway and proceeds to pamper her with food and gifts. He is just about to treat her to homemade seaweed soup later at her place, but an urgent call from Seol-a puts a stop to their plans. Na-bi thereafter finds herself walking to a diner owned by a childhood friend she had earlier chanced upon in the bus. He wins her heart with a gourmet preparation of seaweed soup placed alongside a small birthday cake. Yang Do-hyeok, her school friend and perhaps, a silent admirer as well, can make her smile and forget about Jae-eon, the guy with a twisted past when it comes to women.

Meanwhile, Bit-na is embarrassed about sleeping with her best friend, Gyu-hyun, who confesses that he likes her. But she turns him down in a way that offends him. Although she has rejected him, Bit-na hates seeing him date other girls. Elsewhere, Na-bi’s ex shows up to warn her against Jae-eon, but the poor girl seems to have already fallen for him. In the end, she approaches him for one last confrontation, and just then, a random guy walks up to Jae-eon and hits him in rage.
