Nicholas Kroll was born on June 5, 1978 to parents Lynn and Jules B. Kroll who is a businessman and founder of Kroll Inc. (a corporate investigations and risk consulting firm). Kroll was born in New York City, New York, U.S. and is a 39-year-old American actor, comedian, writer and producer. He is the youngest of the siblings and has a  brother named Jeremy, and two sisters named Vanessa and Dana. He was brought up in a Conservative Jewish family and studied at “Solomon Schechter School of Westchester”.

He later joined the “Rye Country Day School” for his high school studies.  For a short period of time he attended “ The Mountain School” in Vermont where he developed keen interest in hiking. He graduated in 2001 from Georgetown University.

He is a writer for “Chappelle’s Show” of Comedy Central and “Human Giant” “of MTV. Kroll and his writing partner John Mulaney have both created the characters of Gil Faizon of “The Oh, Hello Show”, Bobby Bottleservice and Fabrice Fabrice. In 2013, he was also honoured with the “Breakout Star of the Year” award from the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival which was held in Montreal, Canada.

“Thank You Very Cool” was his stand-up comedy special aired on comedy central in 2011. He gives performances regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC and LA where he has studied. He has also co-hosted the Stand-Up comedy show “Welcome to Our Week”.

He was seen from October 29, 2009 to December 9, 2015 playing the role of Rodney Ruxin in “The League”, an FXX comedy series. He had a recurring role on the show Childrens Hospital on Adult Swim. “Kroll Show” is his own Comedy Central show which ran from January 16, 2013 to March 24, 2015. He lent his voice for the character of Stu in “The Life & Times of Tim” as well as for Andrew LeGustambos in “Sit Down, Shut Up”. He has appeared in various movies like A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, I Love You Man, Date Night and Adventures of Power.
