Omari Hardwick is born on January 9, 1974. He is an American actor, best known for his roles in the TV series like Saved and Dark Blue, in Spike Lee’s Miracle at St. Anna (2008), Kick-Ass (2010), The A-Team (2010), For Colored Girls (2010) and as Andre in BET Network’s Being Mary Jane. Omari had a passion for sports like Basketball, Football, and even tried to gain entry into the NFL. He was the star on the field. However, his passion for acting pushed him towards the big screen.

Hardwick had to struggle to grab the notable movies and Television shows. As a struggling actor, Hardwick did many small jobs to pay for his acting classes. In his early days, he did many low budget movies but didn’t work on box-office. After giving many unsuccessful movies, he finally got his breakthrough role in Television movie in 2004, Sucker Free City, from where he got the recognition. After this, he grabbed the roles in the movies like the film The Guardian and a series role in Saved. For the Saved, he spent his 2 years training as a fireman.

In 2010, Hardwick founded the Plan B Inc. Theater Group”, and became the co-founder of the “Actor’s Lounge” at the Greenway Theater in Los Angeles’. He also founded his own production company, “Bravelife Films”. In 2011, Hardwick did the most outstanding movie of his career named; I Will Follow, where he played the role of the Troy. The movie hit the box-office with positive reviews. Hardwick also appeared in a cameo role in the episode of Chase, where he played the role of Chris Novak, a prisoner.

Other notable movies of Hardwick include Sparkle (2012), Reach me (2014), Shot Caller (2017), Flipmode (2017). Hardwick has also worked as an extra in the popular TV series like Friends and In the House. Currently, he can be seen as James “Ghost” St. Patrick in Starz’s Power. Omari married Jennifer Pfautch in 2012. The couple has two children.
