One Piece Episode 916 Recap
‘One Piece‘ revolves around the chronicles of a young pirate named Luffy who is a 17-year-old-boy. Pretty much like all the other pirates in his line of work, he does seek the coveted treasure known as the “One Piece”. According to rumours that surround it, the treasure offers an unlimited amount of luxuries and fame to the one who manages to find it. However, more than that, Luffy also loves going on adventures and meeting all kinds of eccentric characters along the way. With his loyal crew, Luffy sets out on an ultimate adventure across the Grand Line and along the way, he makes new friends, faces the worst enemies and ultimately, unravels all the mysteries that surround the treasure that he seeks.
In episode 916, Luffy gets defeated by one single blow of Kaido’s thunder Bagua. After being ruthlessly overpowered in this battle, he ends up in the great mine which serves as a prison. Like every prisoner there, even Luffy is tied up with sea stone collars and cuffs. Meanwhile, at the Castle of Oden, the Straw hats and their allies somehow manage to survive and Kiku begins telling them about the current situation. After the news of their Captain’s defeat catches up the crew, they realize that they must now do something to get their Captain out of the prison. In the meantime, at the prison, Luffy is humiliated by all the other pirates at the prison and they try their best to break his strong will. They tell him that they’ll force him to work there till he accepts Kaido as his leader. Soon after this, in his neighboring cell, Luffy finds Captain Eustass Kid and both of them vow to teach Kaido a lesson.
