One Piece Episode 922 Recap

In the previous episode, Komurasaki, the most beautiful woman who has ever walked in Wano, was introduced. As she made her way through the city, people literally looked up to her and worshipped her for being so flawless. In the 920th episode, Komurasaki’s name was also mentioned once by Otoko. Meanwhile, while furiously breaking rocks at the excavation camp, Luffy was approached by Wet Haired Caribou, one of his old enemies who is the Captain of the Caribou Pirates. Turns out Caribou now needs his help and is willing to give him some crucial information about the prison in return.

In episode 922, the anime features some content that is slightly different from the source. Zoro, the swordsman of the Straw Hats Crew, visits a gambling house with Tonoyasu. After getting into a fight there, the two of them head to Ebisu Town. In the meantime, the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance tries to steal food and ammunition. Franky goes all the way to the Flower Capital in the hope that he will be able to find some blueprints of Kaido’s mansion, but he is left disappointed after he gets there and discovers that Minatomo does not possess the blueprints anymore. Back at the Shogun’s castle, CP-O tries his best to somehow establish common grounds with Orochi.

The scene where Tonoyasu is shown while Zoro gambles is only mentioned in the manga. Moreover, even the part where Nami and Shinobu are informed about Zoro’s disappearance and the scene where Wanda and Carrot steal food are all exclusively parts of the anime only. Also, in the manga, when Franky throws a fit, he gets beaten up by Minatomo’s workers whereas, in the anime, Minatomo himself hits him in the head. Even when it comes to Franky’s part, he directly hits a dead-end in the anime before realizing that he won’t be able to get the blueprints but in the source material, he actually has a word with Kanjuro before he sets out to look for the blueprints of Kaido’s castle.
