One Piece Episode 923 Recap

A lot has been going on in ‘One Piece’ lately. In the previous episode, Zoro had visited a gambling house with Tonoyasu and the two of them got into a fight there. Soon after this, they headed to Ebisu Town. Meanwhile, back at the prison, Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance set out to steal food and weapons. Franky desperately looks for the blueprints of Kaido’s mansion but to his disappointment,  Minatomo denies possessing it. CP-O meets Orochi at the Shogun’s castle and tries to settle an agreement with him.

The biggest revelation in episode 923 is the arrival of the Big Mom pirates. As they draw closer to Wano City, they make an attempt to scale the waterfall around it but fail to do so when King flies and sends their boat deep into the ocean. In the meantime, Tonoyasu and Zoro reach Ebisu and discover that everyone there is very happy. Sanji takes it upon himself to attack Page One who wreaks havoc in the Flower Capital. To do this on time, before the reinforcements arrive there and control the situation, he reaches out for his Raid Suit Canister and goes all in. With this, he claims that he’ll defeat Page One with absolutely no injuries and will be good as long as his identity is kept a secret.

Compared to the source material, there are quite a few differences between this episode of the anime. Orochi slaps away the bottles of sake when he is given the menu in the anime but nothing like this happens in the manga. Even before he meets Korunasaki in the show, he meets Robi but in the manga, he directly goes up to him. Nami and Shinobu are also shown sneaking into the palace in the episode but the manga does not reveal this directly. The anime also features a special introduction for Page Zero where he can be seen destroying buildings and civilians. The manga indirectly makes it pretty obvious that he’s causing trouble. In the manga, apparently, Amande, Nusstorte, Dosmarche, Snack, Kato, Custard, Angel, and Cornstarch cannot be spotted on Queen Mama Chanter.
