How did Oscar De La Hoya earn his money and wealth?
Oscar De La Hoya is popularly called by his nickname the Golden Boy was born in East Los Angeles, California in the United States on 4th February 1973. Oscar came from a boxing family because his grandfather Vincente, father Joel Sr. and brother Joel Jr. were boxers. In the year 1995, Oscar was a top-rated fighter in the world and he was named as the Fighter of the Year by The Ring Magazine. Their relationship abruptly ended in the year 2000 when Moakler saw her husband dating Puerto Rican singer Millie Corretjer, on television when she was watching the Latin Grammy Awards at home.
Oscar married Millie Corretjer on 5th October 2001 and they have two children Oscar Gabriel De La Hoya on 29thn December 2005 and Nina Lauren Nenitte De La Hoya on 29th December 2009 and he had three other children from previous relationships. De La Hoya in May 2011 acknowledged that he has a substance abuse problem and he was accused in a lawsuit of rape in the year 1998. The Golden Boy was acquired on February 2008, a 25% stake of Major league Soccer side Houston Dynamo. Oscar also started a charitable trust in which he helped underprivileged children for their education and he donated $3.5 million to the De La Hoya Animo Charter High School.
