What is Outbreak About?
The film starts in 1967 when a virus called Motaba is discovered in the African jungles. The US army works to suppress it. This turns out to be a big mistake, as a capuchin monkey (who is a host) is smuggled into the US.
Soon enough things take a bad turn, as the virus starts spreading, and even mutates to become airborne. Cedar Creek is hit worst of all. To top things off, the army keeps intervening in the process, with the intention of bombing the town to erase any trace of the virus, and actually use it as a biological weapon.
Ultimately, this madness within the army is put to an end, as people join forces to ensure that residents of Cedar Creek receive the cure, and are ultimately saved.
