Based on a manga series written by Looseboy and illustrated by Iori Furuya, ‘Munou na Nana’ or ‘Talentless Nana’ is an anime about the eponymous assassin, who is sent to a school for superpowered individuals to kill the students there one by one. The series has similar themes as ‘Classroom of the Elite’, ‘Assassination Classroom’, and ‘My Hero Academia’. Developed by Bridge Studio, the anime premiered on October 4, 2020, and has since become a global hit. The 11th episode of ‘Munou na Nana’, titled ‘The Invisible Blade Part 2’, is set to be released on December 13, 2020. The characters in the series have been designed by Satohiko Sano.

The story is set in the not-too-distant future. Mysterious beings which are known as the “Enemies of Humanity” are leaving utter devastation in their wake. A school has been set up to train children with special abilities or “talent”, so they will be one day able to fight these monsters. However, it is later revealed that the talented students eventually become the Enemies of Humanity. The government has sent Nana to neutralize some of the most dangerous talented individuals. In the pilot episode, Nana shoves her classmate Nanao Nakajima off a cliff. She is informed that her actions saved a million lives. In the ensuing days, Nana’s kill list only expands. In episode 10, Nana speaks about her family to Jin before losing consciousness. When she wakes up, she finds herself in Michiru’s room. They talk, and Nana reveals that she blames herself for her parents’ deaths. Later, Kyōya takes her to see another dead body, making her realize that there is a second murderer.
