When we published our yearly list of worst films of the year, there was one selection that many of the readers didn’t agree with: ‘Batman v Superman’. Guess what? They will have to swallow the bitter pill again, because in the just announced Razzie Awards nominations, not only ‘Batman v Superman’ is contending for Worst Film of the year, it also received a total of 8 nominations — second only to ‘Zoolander 2’ which received 9 nominations.
Among actors, there were several famous names including Ben Affleck, Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts.
This year, the categories were expanded to six nominees each for the first time, organizers said.
“The crop of cinematic crap in 2016 was so extensive that this year’s 37th annual Razzie Awards is expanding the number of nominees from the usual five to an unprecedented six contenders in each of its nine worst achievement in film categories,” the group said in its press release.

Razzie Awards, or the Golden Raspberry Awards, aren’t of much significance. But, just going down the list of nominees will make you laugh. Sample this in the Worst Combo category they have nominated: Ben Affleck and His BFF (Baddest Foe Forever) Henry Cavill. That’s funny!
Anyway, if you are interested, “Winners” will be announced at a ceremony set for Feb. 25.
