Re-Main Episode 3 Spoilers
In episode 2, Minato is completely speechless after Chinu kisses him on the cheek. He wonders aloud if they had been dating before the accident. She dismisses the notion, claiming that the kiss was the payment for a bet they made when she rejected his confession. She reveals that they made another bet that if Minato became Japan’s best player, Chinu would go out with him. If he fails to accomplish this, he will have to pay her 220,000 Japanese Yen. Realizing that he doesn’t have much choice, he tells Jou Joujima and Eitarou Oka that he will join the water polo club.
By the next day, an excited Jou has distributed leaflets in every class advertising Minato’s inclusion in the team. Several students show up at the trials, hoping to go to the nationals with Minato. This prompts Minato to explain the situation. Although most leave, three students join the club by the end of the day: Yutaka Babayaro Inomata, Yoshiharu Ushimado, and Takekazu Ejiri. They even have a brief contest among themselves. In episode 3, Jou might try to recruit Shuugo Amihama, a former swimmer who will likely be more interested in joining the track team. Minato might run into the other members of the Elite Four.
