How did Rob Dyrdek earn his money and wealth?
Robert Stanley Dyrdek was born on June 28, 1974 at Kettering, Ohio, U.S. He is an entrepreneur, former professional skateboarder, producer, actor and reality celebrity. He is best known for his acting in the reality shows Rob & Big, Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness. He also is the designer of the cartoon sequence Wild Grinders, in which he voices the series’ primary character, Lil Rob. In 2014, Dyrdek was called one of the “Most significant skateboarders of all-time” by Fox Weekly.
Dyrdek was associated with sports activities as a child and started expert skating at the age of 11, when he obtained his first skateboard from expert skateboarder Neil Blender. Of his beginning attention in the game, Dyrdek claims, “I was so concentrated on becoming a pro skateboarder. I would sit in university and think about all the techniques I was going to do, and then I’d get out of college and skate until they forced me to come within.”
At the age of 12, Dyrdek obtained support from the same organization that Blender was a team member of and started his professional skateboarding. A few years later, Dyrdek and Blender stopped their board sponsor and created Alien Workshop. When Dyrdek was 16 years old, he abandoned his senior year of secondary school and instead transferred to Southeast California to continue with his professional skateboarding. He would later acquire the organization himself during his post-riding profession as a business owner.
Soon after moving to California, Dyrdek started to drive for Droors Outfits, an organization that was then modified into DC Shoes, which sponsored Dyrdek until 2016. Both Droors and DC were established with the participation of well-known skateboarder Danny Way and, in the lead-up period for the launch of the 2012 Way documentary Waiting For Lightning. He was sponsored and proved helpful with DC Shoes from 1995 until January 2016.
Dyrdek first appeared in the MTV reality sequence, Rob & Big (aired Nov 2006 to Apr 2008), with his best buddy and security guard Christopher “Big Black” Boykin, as well as his cousin, Chris “Drama” Pfaff and buddy Rashawn “Bam Bam” Davis. Dyrdek set twenty-one individual Guinness World Record for professional skateboarding as part of his former program Rob & Big. Big Black also set two consuming records on the show: most bananas consumed in one minute and the most variety of powder donuts consumed in three minutes. As of 2018, Rob Dyrdek’s net worth is $50 million.
