Roman Reigns was born on the 25th of May in 1985 in Pensacola, Florida, U.S as Leati Joseph Anoaʻi. He is a popular American professional wrestler signed with WWE Raw. While studying at Pensacola Catholic High School, Roman Reigns played football and was even titled as the Defensive Player of the Year by the Pensacola News Journal. After graduating high school, Reigns enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team. In the year 2007, he was signed by Minnesota Vikings and later by Jacksonville Jaguars before being locked in a contract with Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League in 2008 for whom Reigns showcased some skilled game.

In 2010, Roman Reigns first set his foot in wrestling terrain when he signed a developmental contract with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was later accredited to their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). His debut match was in the September of 2010 in a singles against Richie Steamboat wherein he went by the moniker Roman Leakee. Roman lost the match. A couple more loses and Roman tasted his first victory on September 21 over Fahd Rakman. FCW was rebranded to NXT in 2012 following which Anoa’i adopted the new ring name Roman Reigns and a villainous character making his debut.

Following his victory in the Intercontinental Championship, Romans became entitled to the tagline of being the twenty-eighth Triple Crown Champion and the seventeenth Grand Slam Champion. Reigns has also headlined some of the major WWE pay-per-view events like Wrestlemania.
