Selling Sunset Season 2: Premiere Date, Cast, Trailer, Plot, News

Add another title to the growing list of Netflix reality TV shows. Only this time it is about one of the high-end real estate agencies in LA. Selling Sunset — that premiered on the streaming platform on March 22, 2019 — revolves around the Oppenheim Group, which sells luxurious apartments to affluent buyers in the city. It follows the professional and personal lives of the agents who work themselves round the clock for each successful sale.

Selling Sunset Cast: Who is in it?

Selling Sunset stars the Oppenheim twins — Jason and Brett, who run this professional brokerage agency named Oppenheim Group. Jason is the firm’s President and Founder and Brett is the Senior Vice President. The organization holds over $1B in total sales and $300 million in active listings and is responsible behind brokering the majority of LA’s largest residential sales and huge, record-breaking transactions.

Joining the duo in this reality program is Chrishell Hartley. This American actress is already known for her television roles as Amanda Dillon on All My Children and Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives. Completing the cast is the existing group of realtor agents — comprising Mary Fitzgerald, Davina Potratz, Christine Quinn, Maya Vander, and Heather Young — who help the brothers sell high-end dwellings to elite buyers in LA.

Selling Sunset Plot: What is it about?

Selling Sunset is a docuseries that focuses on the day-to-day events in the lives of the classy real estate brokers at The Oppenheim Group, run by brothers Brett and Jason Oppenheim. Prospective buyers — looking for purchasing a luxe property in an around the Sunset Strip or the Hollywood Hills — usually approach them. Behind the doors of this agency is a team of kickass women who make the brokerage what it is. The twist in the show comes when the brothers recruit Hartley as the newest addition to the realtor associate group. And as soon as she enters, she is greeted with this line — “She can sit on the floor till she proves herself”. The other women are not ready to accept her as a part of the team until she proves her worth. She has to come out as being really serious at her job like the rest of the members. So, does Hartley finally fit in? If yes, what are the ordeals she has to face on the way?

Selling Sunset gives us a real-time view of the cut-throat competition that rules the real estate market. Packed with gossip, unexpected pregnancies, the dating of younger men, and throwing one another under the bus — this series has all the elements of the perfect reality drama.

As per Hartley’s tweet, this show is just a re-enaction of her childhood when her family moved and she had to start a new school in the 9th grade. In her words, “So I was the new freshman trying to fit in. This experience felt a lot like that only I have better clothes.” She had ventured into the career of a realtor to meet her personal needs but eventually ended up becoming really passionate with her profession. Los Angeles Times has featured her twice for representing notable properties and she was also recognized as an expert in her field by a certain publication.

Selling Sunset Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?

Selling Sunset Season 1 premiered on Netflix on March 22, 2019. All the episodes of the show landed on the same day. Packed with strong females, a lot of sex appeal, and equally intensive drama, this TV show crates its own space in the crowded reality tv field.

As far as Season 2 of the show, Netflix hasn’t made any announcement yet. One good news is that, since this is reality-show, the cost involved are less and the effort required isn’t gargantuan either. So, there is a good chance that the show will get renewed. If that happens, Selling Sunset can have a release date sometime in March, 2020. That’s our best guess.
