Meanwhile, Amy spends time with a dune buggy driver, and we see a flashback. It is revealed that her boyfriend got the infection from a pizza delivery guy, and now she’s infected. Jane seeks help from medical professionals, but they catch the fear as well. By the end of the film, almost everybody knows they will die the next day. There’s nothing to do but accept it. However, as everyone makes their peace, Amy understands the process of how she’d actually be turned into a leather jacket. At the tearful moment, she wakes up on some rocks, as the film ends on a note of ambiguity.
