Sonny Boy Episode 4 Spoilers

In episode 3, an impressed Rajdhani observes that Nagara has found 13 portals in one week, but Asakaze thinks it’s just a coincidence. Rajdhani reveals that he has told Nozomi to observe the light in the sky with her compass ability, but they haven’t been able to figure out exactly what it is. A student is found in the forest in a bizarre pitch black, frozen state. When Pony brings it up in front of others, she learns that a second student is missing.

Pony asks Mizuho to find out what has happened. To the surprise of many, she accepts, but with one condition, Nagara will help her as an assistant. They find the second student in a similar state and wonder whether this is the result of yet another law of this world or if one of the students did this to them with their ability. When Nagara asks Mizuho why she doesn’t give things that she can get with her ability for free, she asks how it is different from what used to happen in their world. It’s capitalism, she declares.

During their investigation, Nagara and Mizuho discover that both apparent victims are introverts and don’t have many friends. Mizuho later tells Nagara she gained her ability before they started drifting and theorizes that others did. Meanwhile, Nozomi speaks to Hoshi, who admits that he knew the school would go adrift after learning about it from the voice inside his head.

Two more victims are found. Later, Nagara and Mizuho find the sky moving like a curtain in a breeze. They remove it to find themselves in a room surrounded by black curtains. They discover the four students there. One is live-streaming a video game, the second is working out, the third is busy with his phone, while the fourth is sewing up dolls. None of them is willing to go back. Nagara eventually deduces that as the four victims were excluded by their peers, they were removed from the world because of the rules. He and Mizuho remove the curtain and brings them back. Elsewhere, Nozomi tells Rajdhani that she thinks that Nagara has the power to leap between worlds.

Episode 4 might focus on Cap and his experiences during the drifting. We might also learn some more information about the entity that speaks inside Hoshi’s head.
