‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ episode 14, titled ‘War Mantle,’ is likely to throw the Clone Force 99 into another conflict with the Empire. Crosshair has received permission to hunt down the Bad Batch, and another confrontation with his former comrades is inevitable. Roland could become an ally to the batch as Omega helped save his life from the Pykes. A full-blown clone rebellion could also be brimming in the galaxy after Captain Howzer’s actions and whether the Bad batch decides to participate in the rebellion remains to be seen.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 13 Recap
‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ episode 13 called ‘Infested’ begins with the Bad Batch returning from a mission for Cid. On Ord Mantell, they learn that Roland Durand has taken over Cid’s parlor and operations. Hunter contemplates leaving the planet, but Omega is concerned about Cid. The group finds Cid, who tells them about Roland’s intentions to link up with the Pyke Syndicate.
After Cid reminds the Bad Batch that she has kept their presence on the planet a secret from the Empire, Hunter reluctantly agrees to help Cid reclaim her place and operation. The Bad Batch’s mission is to steal a shipment of spice that Roland is going to hand over to the Pyke Syndicate. They must use the tunnels under Cid’s office to get to the shipment. The tunnels are home to giant deadly insects known as Irlings. The group carefully carries out its mission of stealing the shipment without alerting the Irlings. Meanwhile, Cid distracts Roland.
However, before the Clone Force 99 can escape with the shipment, Roland learns of their plot and sends his guards to catch the group. A shootout ensues, and the Bad Batch narrowly escapes leaving the shipment behind. The Pykes learn about the loss of their shipment and take Omega hostage. The Bad Batch and Cid retrieve the shipment and exchange it for Omega’s freedom. Cid then reclaims control of the parlor.
