Star Wars: The Clone Wars Plot: What is it about?

The Clone Wars is an animated series based on the iconic Star Wars fictional galaxy. The series gained huge popularity because of its origins and connection with the iconic Star Wars saga.

In season one of the Clone Wars, the highlight is mainly on antagonists Grievous and Dooku and the adventures and battles leading up with them. The tone remains the same with season two, but the ideas of stealing of intel and hiring of bounty hunters gain more emphasis. Season 3 and 4 have a more progressive tone. Season 3 shows how wars in a particular planet affect the galaxy-wide war and how the Republic Senate gradually progresses over the Jedi Council. In the latter half of both seasons, Anakin takes a step closer to his dark side.

In season 5, the tone changes and it is different from what the viewers experience in the first four seasons. The story has different layers and arc to it. It gives more emphasis to Ahsoka’s character arc. Season 6 explores important parts of the Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

Season 7 will being with Obi-Wan and Anakin investigating a mysterious death of a Jedi Master on Utapau, and uncover a secret Separatist weapons deal the likes of which they have never seen before.

The series, overall, gets better with time. However, the tone is light despite some dark themes. The main highlight of the series is its storytelling and how it develops great relationships with the characters in general.
