Superman & Lois Episode 13 Recap

In episode 13, titled ‘Fail Safe,’ Superman needs to find Leslie Larr, but Morgan Edge is reluctant to disclose any details. The mayor promises to resolve the situation in the city and allows Kyle to take some time off. Clark teams up with John to look for Leslie, and John reveals that he wants to change course after he is done with his job. Through a tracking device, they find Leslie moving towards the DoD and stop her before she causes any destruction.

Lois, in the meantime, is determined to inform the city about the dark cloud hanging over everyone, but the general advises her to be reticent about the situation. Jordan and Jonathan cut class, but the events that follow put them in danger. Superman asks Sam if he could bring back those biochemical weapons that are detrimental to the Man of Steel’s health. He also demands to know where the eradicator is, but Edge does not budge. Jonathan walks into the barn, where he stumbles upon John and his suit.

Jonathan’s fascination for his new discovery is interrupted by Clark’s unexpected entry. Lois barges in moments later and expresses her dissent over reusing the bioweapons. However, her anger is partially caused by a phone call that reveals Jordan has been arrested. Lois heads to the political department later, where she overhears Lana yelling at the mayor, hellbent on winning another election despite the Edge situation.

Lois and Clark decide upon handing John the ultimate key to killing Superman if there is ever a need to. Clark proceeds to talk to John about it, and Lois prepares to publish her final article. Edge looks back at the time when his father used to abuse him, which has now perhaps unlocked a dark side in him. He escapes his cell seconds later, and by the time Superman shows up, it’s too late. Edge is soaring high as he gears up to become the Eradicator.
