Based on a light novel series of the same name written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ or ‘Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken’ is an isekai fantasy TV anime. It follows a Japanese corporate worker named Satoru Mikami, who is killed in a stabbing incident and is reborn as a slime in a parallel world. His chance encounter with storm dragon Veldora gains him a lifelong friend and a new name, Rimuru Tempest.
Season 1 of the anime aired between October 2, 2018, and March 19, 2019. The second season is being released as a split-cour. The first cour was originally broadcast from January 12, 2021, to March 30, 2021, and comprises 12 episodes. ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ season 2 part 2 episode 3, titled ‘Ramiris’s Warning,’ is set to premiere on July 20, 2021. Eight Bit Studios developed the series, with Youhei Itou and Shigeto Sugimoto serving as the producers. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu led the writing staff, and Atsushi Nakayama replaced Yasuhito Kikuchi as the director in the second season. Elements Garden provided the music, while Ryouma Ebata handled the character designs and Takahiro Kishida did the monster designs. MindaRyn performed part two’s opening theme track, “Like Flames,” and Takuma Terashima sang the ending theme track, “Reincarnate.”

In episode 2, Laplace reports to Yuuki Kagurazaka that he has encountered Roy Valentine at the inner sanctum of the Holy Empire of Lubelius. He also learns Yuuki has created a Homunculus body for the former Demon Lord Kagali, the president of Moderate Harlequin Alliance. Meanwhile, a grand meeting takes place between Rimuru and Tempest’s allies. However, it is halted when Rimuru reveals that he has let out Veldora into the world. Gazeru Dwargo and Elalude Grimwald privately speak to Rimuru and promise their support in the upcoming conflict. They then go back to the others to resume their meeting.
Rimuru brings up Hinata. However, the leaders of the other nations seem to have a completely different understanding of her than him. While Rimuru thinks that she can be quite cruel, the information that Gazeru and Elalude have on her describes her as just and honorable. This makes Rimuru wonder if Yuuki has anything to do with Hinata attacking him. The episode ends as Ramiris comes to warn everyone about a great danger to Tempest. In episode 3, Ramiris might inform Rimuru about Clayman’s plan to hold the Walpurgis. As a new Demon Lord, Rimuru might decide to join the gathering.
