Based on a light novel series of the same name written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ or ‘Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken’ is an isekai fantasy TV anime. It tells the story of the Japanese corporate worker named Satoru Mikami, who is reincarnated in a parallel world as a slime following his death in a stabbing incident. He gains his otherworldly name, Rimuru, from the storm dragon Veldora. As the series progresses, he gains power and influence, eventually establishing the monster nation of the Jura Tempest Federation.
Season 1 of the anime aired between October 2, 2018, and March 19, 2019. The second season is being released as a split-cour. ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ season 2 part 2 episode 4, titled ‘The Congress Dances,’ is set to premiere on July 27, 2021, in Japan. The episode will be available at various times on Tokyo MX, BS11, tvk, and MBS. Eight Bit Studios developed the series, with Youhei Itou and Shigeto Sugimoto serving as the producers. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu led the writing staff, and Atsushi Nakayama replaced Yasuhito Kikuchi as the director in the second season. Elements Garden provided the music, while Ryouma Ebata handled the character designs and Takahiro Kishida did the monster designs. MindaRyn performed part two’s opening theme track, “Like Flames,” and Takuma Terashima sang the ending theme track, “Reincarnate.”

In episode 3, although Ramiris has come to warn Tempest of the impending danger, she faints when she realizes that Veldora is back. The meeting subsequently continues. Rimuru reveals his plans to cause a civil war in Falmuth. He wants to bring the entire kingdom down so that it can be rebuilt. When Rimuru announces that he wants Youm to become the next king of Falmuth, Gazeru Dwargo decides to test the human. Satisfied with what he finds, he declares his support for Rimuru’s actions on this. Elalude Grimwald decides to test Rimuru himself and asks what the new demon lord wants to do with his powers. The meeting ends as Rimuru decides to make his move against Clayman. Meanwhile, Laplace visits Clayman and heavily implies that the latter might be controlled by someone else. In episode 4, Rimuru might learn about the upcoming Walpurgis and might decide to attend it. Meanwhile, following Laplace’s warnings, Clayman will likely try to find who is pulling his strings.
