‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ season 2, part 2 episode 5, titled ‘The Eve of Battle,’ is scheduled to premiere on August 3, 2021, in Japan. It will broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11, tvk, and MBS at different times. The series is animated by Eight Bit Studios, with Atsushi Nakayama helming the directorial team and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu overseeing the scripts.
The characters are designed by Ryouma Ebata along with Takahiro Kishida, who has shouldered the responsibility of working on the monsters. The opening theme track, “Like Flames,” is performed by MindaRyn, while the ending theme track, “Reincarnate,” is sung by Takuma Terashima.

In episode 4, titled ‘The Congress Dances’ or ‘Kaigi wa Odoru,’ Ramiris claims that Tempest is doomed to fall. She explains that Walpurgis, the meeting of all Demon Lords, is about to take place, and the topic of discussion is going to be the birth of a new power in the Great Forest of Jura. Since Rimuru claimed himself to be the Demon Lord, it will put him in a spot.
Furthermore, Clayman wants to hold the Walpurgis for another sinister reason. Demon Lord Carrion told Rimuru that Mjurran works for Clayman, thus breaking the non-aggression pact with the Great Forest of Jura. As per rumors, the mage is already killed by Rimuru, but that’s not true as it turns out she is alive and well. However, Rimuru is still eager to join the Walpurgis as it won’t be possible to take Clayman out before that.
He later calls Soei for a report on Clayman’s army, and it turns out that they are regrouping in Demon Lord Milim’s territory. However, they are interestingly not led by the Demon Lord himself but his strongest subordinate, Yamza. However, on further discussion, it becomes clear that their target is not Tempest but Eurazania. They plan on killing the remaining refugees, and the primary objective of the mission is for Clayman to emerge as the True Demon Lord.
In episode 5, titled ‘The Eve of Battle,’ realizing that Clayman’s army will reach Eurazania in just two days, Rimuru will understand that they are already a step behind their enemies. He is likely to begin preparations for the war at the territory. With the possibility of Clayman emerging as the True Demon Lord, the stakes can’t be any higher.
