Based on a light novel series of the same name written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ or ‘Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken’ is an isekai fantasy TV anime. It’s a story of a Japanese corporate worker named Satoru Mikami, who is killed in a stabbing incident and reincarnates as a slime in an alternate world. He befriends Veldora, a catastrophe-level storm dragon, who gives him the name, Rimuru.
Season 1 of the anime aired between October 2, 2018, and March 19, 2019. The second season is being released as a split-cour. The first cour was originally broadcast from January 12, 2021, to March 30, 2021, and comprises 12 episodes. ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ season 2 part 2 episode 6, titled ‘The Demon Lords,’ is set to premiere on August 10, 2021, in Japan. The episode will be available at various times on Tokyo MX, BS11, tvk, and MBS. Eight Bit Studios developed the series, with Youhei Itou and Shigeto Sugimoto serving as the producers. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu led the writing staff, and Atsushi Nakayama replaced Yasuhito Kikuchi as the director in the second season. Elements Garden provided the music, while Ryouma Ebata handled the character designs and Takahiro Kishida did the monster designs. MindaRyn performed part two’s opening theme track, “Like Flames,” and Takuma Terashima sang the ending theme track, “Reincarnate.”

In episode 5, having learned that Clayman’s army is set to reach Eurazania in two days, Rimuru asks Raphael whether Clayman will have his awakening if he kills off the remaining population of Eurazania. Raphael answers that the chances of that happening is 78%. Rimuru then instructs Benimaru to mobilize their forces to defend these people. Raphael subsequently offers Rimuru to transport his army in time.
Adapting Shion’s plan, Rimuru decides to show up at the Walpurgis uninvited. Ramiris tells him that he can take two retainers to the gathering, and Rimuru chooses Shion and Ranga. When Veldora says he wants to accompany Rimuru to the gathering, Rimuru convinces him to stay behind and protect Tempest. He also promises the storm dragon that he will summon him if it becomes necessary. Furthermore, Rimuru picks Treyni and Beretta to go with Ramiris.
In the city of the Forgotten Dragon, Yamza, one of Clayman’s five fingers, forces Middray and Hermes, the priests of the Dragon Faithful, to continue providing resources to Clayman’s army. Meanwhile, Rimuru instructs Geld to build houses for the refugees from Eurazania, and with Phobio’s help, transports them to Tempest. The following morning, Rimuru sends 20,000 of his soldiers to war. In episode 6, the alliance of Tempest and Eurazania might battle Clayman’s forces. Meanwhile, the demon lords might arrive for Walpurgis, prompting Clayman to welcome them to his domain.
