The Bachelorette Season 17 Episode 5 Recap

In the fifth episode of ‘The Bachelorette’ season 17, Katie’s decision to invite Blake caused a stir among the men. After he walked in, Blake tried to diffuse the tension in the room, claiming that he is genuinely fond of Katie, who then invited him for a date to make up for all the lost time. As expected, they connected instantly over a variety of topics, followed by a sensuous kiss. She gave him a one-on-one date rose, and Laine Hardy’s soothing voice further elevated the romance between them.

The second date card included Greg, Quartney, Aaron, Mike P., Michael A., Andrew M., Josh, Justin, Brendan, James, Connor B., Tre, and Hunter. Veterans of ‘Bachelor Nation’ Wells and Franco claimed their spots as commentators for the next group activity called Bachelorette Bash Ball Battle, a mix of rugby and basketball. Winning the game was their only chance at grabbing a rose. As the game progressed, so did Katie’s heart rate because of the competitive fervor saturating the field. Sure enough, the game was finally called off when Michael A. collapsed on the ground writhing in pain.

Although the black team turned out victorious, Katie suggested that they could all attend the after-party. The last date card was addressed to Andrew S., and the group date rose was handed over to Hunter. At the final date in the episode, Andrew S. walked into an exquisite setup filled with tasks enclosed in envelopes stacked within a canopy of twinkling lights. She gave him a rose on their date and later handed over the group roses to Greg, Aaron, Michael A., Connor, James, Justin, Mike P., Brendon, and Tre. Unfortunately, Andrew M., Quartney, Josh got eliminated.
