The Chi Season 4 Episode 5 Recap
In ‘The Chi’ season 4 episode 5, titled ‘The Spook Who Sat by the Door,’ Kevin has no idea about Jemma’s intimate encounters with Jake. But Jake wants to come clean in front of his friend. Shaad prepares for a job interview, but when Imani fixes up his tie, he gets worked up and dismisses her. She then talks to Trig about Shaad’s disrespectful behavior.
In the meantime, Dre is secretly visiting Jada to check on her health, and he thinks it is time for her to at least inform Nina about her condition. Elsewhere, Emmett visits his mother, who is dating a younger man he initially had problems accepting. Shaad’s interview does not go as planned because of his criminal history. So Trig accompanies him to a bar hoping to lighten up his mood before stating that he needs to move out. Shaad feels betrayed by Trig. At the gala, Mayor Douda and Roselyn engage in a heated discussion about her Job security.
If he fails to give it to her, she’ll file for a divorce. On the other hand, Jemma hankers after Jake at the party, and when he finally gives in, they kiss only to be spotted by a heartbroken Kevin. Kiesha is living her final moments of labor under a midwife’s care as Octavia and Nina keep their fingers crossed. In the end, they all witness a spectacular birth without any complications. Meanwhile, Douda marvels at the Chi from the rooftop when a familiar face shows up and shoots him in the gut.
