The Chi Season 4 Episode 7 Recap
In ‘The Chi’ season 4 episode 7 titled ‘…Black Messiah,’ Kiesha finally accepts her desire to be a mother, and Octavia also acknowledges it. But Nina has her doubts even if Keisha’s words, for a moment, are reassuring. Kevin is exploring the world of casual dating after his breakup with Jemma. He meets a girl named Lanae at the video game store, where he asks her if she is up for a game. After a round or two, Kevin asks her Lanae on a date, but she doesn’t seem ready yet.
Elsewhere, Mayor Douda discontinues a brothel with Trig and Imani’s help and converts it into a shelter for the ladies. Elsewhere, Emmett doesn’t seem entirely comfortable with their new arrangement, but he attends a party where he and Tiffany meet different people with whom they explore their sexualities. At Emmett’s restaurant, Jake and Papa discuss relationships. Papa advises Jake to take care of himself first before investing all of his feelings in Jemma. Jake keeps that in mind before setting out to pursue her. Nina is suffering in guilt after having cheated on her husband Dre with another man.
So after a certain point, Nina cracks in front of Dre spilling everything about her reckless mistake. In the meantime, Trig is dealing with a violent couple Terri and Jamal, that almost puts his life in danger. Terri’s brother Lance is about to kill Jamal when Trig disarms him, and Jamal, finding the perfect opportunity, picks up the gun and shoots Lance. In the end, Keisha names her baby Ronnie, symbolic of her own Black Messiah.
