The Chi Season 4 Episode 8 Recap
In the eighth episode titled ‘Love Jones,’ Emmett’s anxiety levels shoot up after a drunk Tiffany tells him that she’d rather spend the night with a brash guy called Dante than go home and watch ‘Love Jones’ with Emmett. He still prepares breakfast for her the next day to show his love. Meanwhile, Jake is not doing good academically, and his recent matter with Kevin has taken a turn for the worst. So he teams up with Trig, who has also fought with his best friend, to try and fix their individual lives.
On the other hand, Papa is still enamored by Maisha, but his efforts to woo her back go to waste when she admits that she isn’t ready to be with him. He is now incapable of even helping Emmett emotionally because of his own battered love life. Keisha goes on a “motorcycle” date with Christian, which surprisingly goes well. It seems like he is genuinely into her despite her troubled past and recurring anxiety attacks. Elsewhere, Kevin’s feelings for Jemma have persisted, and he wants to fight for her despite her ongoing relationship with Jake, and as expected, she rejects Kevin.
At Papa’s party (thrown solely for Maisha), he catches hold of her for a few seconds before she glides away to dance with another boy. Kevin dances with a random girl he meets, and Jemma surprisingly is not okay with that. Emmett is determined to spice things up between him and Tiff, so he takes her out on a date and, to her shock, confesses that he doesn’t want an open marriage. Although she is reluctant, Emmett promises to work on keeping things exciting between them!
