‘The Detective Is Already Dead’ or ‘Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru.’ is a mystery action Seinen TV anime that is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name illustrated by Umibouzu and written by Nigojuu. The show revolves around Kimizuka Kimihiko, an ordinary young adult who somehow ends up in a crisis situation one way or the other. On one such occasion, he meets Siesta, a detective who hires him as her assistant, and the duo stick together as they work on tons of cases worldwide. A few years pass, and the detective is no longer alive, while Kimizuka now lives a low-key life at a high school.

‘The Detective Is Already Dead’ episode 6 titled ‘Crimson Devil, Ice Queen’ or ‘Guren no Akuma, Kōri no Joō’ on August 8, 2021, in Japan. It will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, SUN, KBS, BS-NTV, and TVA at various times. The anime is developed by the Japanese animation studio ENGI, with Manabu Kurihara helming the directorial team and Deko Akao leading the writing staff.

The Detective Is Already Dead Episode 6 Spoilers
In episode 5, titled ‘That Was Directed at One Year in the Future’ or ‘Sore wa Ichinen-go no Mirai e Muketa,’ Kimihiko, along with Siesta, investigates a case of a notorious serial killer named Cerberus who gobbles up human hearts. However, instead of pursuing the serial killer, the silver-haired detective plans to use her assistant as a decoy. They fix everything up, and Kimihiko waits for the mysterious murderer alone in a hotel room.
As they had planned, Cerberus arrives disguised as Charlotte. But when Kimihiko is not fooled, a struggle between the two breaks out. Luckily, Siesta arrives at the right time and injures the serial killer by shooting him in his shoulder. Just when he is about to run away, SPES’s supreme leader, Hel, decapitates him and takes his heart. With her mysterious powers, she is able to hypnotize Siesta and her assistant.
When Kimihiko wakes up, he realizes that he has been kidnapped by Hel, who reveals that she is fulfilling the prophecy of the Secret Wit that has originated with Leaves of Agastya as its basis. She claims that Kimihiko’s fate is mentioned in the book as well, and although he denies it right now, he will eventually join her. When he reaffirms his desire to never join hands with her, Hel reveals a frightening monster who is apparently fed all the hearts that Cerberus has been stealing.
She also mentions that the facility where they are standing is actually just below the nation’s Parliament building, and the toxins that the gruesome monster exhales can wreak havoc everywhere. However, Siesta somehow manages to track his assistant down and arrives just when the beast appears to be approaching him.
In episode 6, titled ‘Crimson Devil, Ice Queen’ or ‘Guren no Akuma, Kōri no Joō, ’ Kimihiko and Siesta will have to fight against Hel and the human-heart eating gruesome monster. The assistant’s relationship with the detective may be explored further, and viewers may get to learn something surprising about them.
