‘The Duke of Death and His Maid’ episode 3, titled ‘The Duke and the Meteor Shower During the Full Moon,’ is set to release on July 18, 2021, in Japan. It will air at various times on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ytv. Studio J.C.Staff developed the series, with Yoshiki Yamakawa helming the directorial team and Hideki Shirane leading the writing staff. Gen Okuda and Takeshi Watanabe created the music, and Michiru Kuwabata designed the characters. Bocchan (Natsuki Hanae) & Alice (Ayumi Mano) sang the opening theme track “Mangetsu to Silhouette no Yoru,” and Alice (Ayumi Mano) sang the ending theme track “Nocturne.”

In episode 2, Bocchan’s longtime butler, Rob, returns to work after a lengthy absence due to a back injury. It is revealed that when Bocchan came to stay at his current home, Rob was the only one who came with him. Bocchan even thinks that Rob is like a father to him. On the first day back at his job, Rob hurts his back once more and takes some rest in his chamber. Meanwhile, Bocchan plays the new piece of music he has been working on for Alice.

Bocchan’s sister, Viola, comes for a visit and urges him to break the curse quickly and return to the family. It becomes clear that she has a crush on Rob. Bocchan finds a cat inside the castle and later discovers that, like him, it had been abandoned by its family. But he soon finds out that the cat now has a family of its own, which gives him hope for himself. In episode 3, the Duke and Alice might watch a meteor shower together. It might be revealed that even though his younger brother Walter has replaced him as the heir of the family, he still feels that he doesn’t measure up to Bocchan.
