The Flash Season 8 Episode 5 Spoilers
The season’s fifth episode, titled ‘Armageddon, Part 5,’ will bring back Mia Queen as the end of the five-episode long “Armageddon” series approaches. She will show up from the future to undo a loved one’s death and will do anything to achieve that. In addition, we also hope for Thawne’s defeat which will not be an easy task for Barry.
However, The Flash will have the perfect opportunity to conclude his taxing enmity with Reverse-Flash. Thawne is one of the central adversaries of the show, which makes us question if Team Flash could actually pull off their next plan to kill him. Likewise, the consequences of facing him could be too much for Barry and his team to handle. You can watch the promo right here!
The Flash Season 8 Episode 4 Recap
The fourth episode of season 8 is titled ‘Armageddon, Part 4.’ It starts with Barry Allen speeding towards the future where Central City has been ravaged by his arch-nemesis, the Reverse-Flash. It is the year 2031, and the Arrowverse heroes have assembled to attend the wedding of Eobard Thawne and Iris West. Barry barges in awkwardly before trying to prove that he is the Flash. However, his ring surprisingly produces a fitted Reverse-Flash costume as opposed to Thawne’s suit that resembles that of the Flash.
The actual Reverse-Flash then reveals how he has framed Barry into becoming the bad guy who is responsible for murdering many Arrowverse heroes, not to mention the Legends of Tomorrow and Cisco Ramon. Before the Arrowverse heroes can kill him, Barry attempts to reach out to Iris, but Thawne interrupts and shows off his strategy to bring the city under his control. He has created the Reverse-Flashpoint apart from killing Joe West six months before the start of “Armageddon.”
Barry teams up with Damien Darhk to restore reality using a device invented by Ray Palmer and the Time Stone. However, the change will come at a cost. It will destroy the Reverse-Flashpoint reality confirming Despero’s vision of Barry causing Armageddon. Iris also realizes the truth and shoots Thawne to let Barry travel to his own world, where he shows up just in time to save Team Flash. The world then comes back to normal, and even Despero chooses to place his faith in Barry before departing. Despite the destruction of the Reverse-Flashpoint, Thawne is not dead and is, in fact, waiting for the right time to attack.
