The Four: Battle for Stardom is an American reality TV music competition series created by Elwin Vittelly de Groot. The first series was broadcasted on 4th January 2018 and recently on 4th June 2018, Fox and ITV Entertainment renewed the second season. There is no update on the third season yet. The show is hosted by the famous singing sensation Fergie and judged by music manager Sean Combs, singer, and songwriter Meghan Trainor, music producer and rapper DJ Khaled as well as music executive Charlie Walk. In the first season, Walk withdrew his participation from the show and now the show is judged by only three panellists. The show is also known as The Four and is directed by Phil Heyes.
The participants are judged by the studio audience and panellists. The winner not only gets a contract from Republic Records but also gets named on iHeartradio’s “On the Verge” artist. Evvie McKinney and James Graham are the winners of the first two seasons respectively. The show is executive produced by Elwin Vitztelly de Groot, David Eilenberg, David George, David Friedman, Adam Sher, and Becca Walker. The format of the show is similar to the Israeli show’s format that is called The Final Four. It is quite different from other reality singing competitions where there are no stage auditions. The panellists will decide the ultimate challengers who will challenge the “The Four”. The challengers have to win challenges against the new artist to remain a member of the four. At the end of the season, the last singer among “The Four” wins the competition.
