The Outsider Episode 9: What to Expect?

Now that they know that El Cuco has followed Claude to Cecil and even tried to kill another child, Ralph and Holly, along with the rest, have to get going. In ‘Foxhead’, we saw that the monster scratched Sam’s grandfather. Because it couldn’t eat the child, it had to satiate itself with the flesh of a deer. But because it created enough mess for the cops to conduct an investigation, it needs to run again.

Claude was such an easy target. The cops would have found it easier to accept him as the culprit, given his history. Even if his brother vouched for him, he would have been discredited due to his own rap sheet. This would have given El Cuco enough time to transform into someone else and move on. But this is also the time when it is at its weakest. This means that there is only a 20 days, or lesser, of a time window to catch and kill it.

With only two more episodes to go, ‘The Outsider‘ will be at its quickest pace, and if the eighth episode is any proof, the next one is going to rev up the thrilling chase. There is one whole week before we see what Holly and Ralph plan to do next. Here is what you can expect from them.

The Outsider Episode 9 Spoilers

Ralph is back in the same cycle of events. Conflicting evidence for an impossible, though thankfully not as bloodcurdling, case. There is no reason for him not to believe now, so the next plan of action calls for him to take charge of the investigation and try to locate the monster. It is hiding in one of the caves, but the cops don’t know that. To figure that out, they will need to interrogate the witnesses, and little Sam’s conversation with the bogeyman will play an important role in catching it.

While there is a question of where it could be hiding, they also need to find out how it travelled all the way from Cherokee to Cecil. The suspicion is on Jack, which means they have to increase their efforts to find out where he is. If they find him, maybe they can find El Cuco too. Another thing that they need to keep in mind is that El Cuco will soon start his next transformation. However, as we witnessed in the aftermath of Frankie Peterson’s case, it wouldn’t be so weak just yet.

Circumstances are different this time around because the Grief Eater has nothing to stay behind for. People are scared, but they are not grieving. They are thankful that they were saved and even vengeful to find out who tried to kill their child. Things do not look good for El Cuco, but it is still a monster. And because it didn’t get to kill a child, it will murder someone else before moving on to the next face.
