The Owl House Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

In the fourth episode of ‘The Owl House’ season 2 titled ‘Keeping up A-Fear-Ances,’ Eda’s mother Gwendolyn visits her daughter at the Owl House to remedy the curse that has afflicted Eda for so long. In a flashback, it is revealed that her mother’s harsh treatments had compelled Eda to run away, and even now, she refuses to accept her help. But Luz empathizes with Gwen and immediately understands that she is just trying to help.

The pair team up to find an effective solution to Eda’s problem, which lands them in the abode of Wartlop, a magic healer. He hands over a book that seemingly has the spell needed to facilitate Eda’s healing. As the duo heads over to the woods hauling Eda along, Lilith whines about Gwen paying no attention to her, and King listens. At that very moment, the power of the curse captures Lilith and Eda, who slowly begin to shapeshift.

Luz is then thoroughly convinced that the book is a scam, and Gwen is furious at Wartlop, who is about to experience the worst day of his life. Luz, King, and Gwen chase after the cursed owls and use the elixir to transform them back. Lilith decides to shift base and live her with parents for a change. Gwen advises Luz to go back to the library, but little do they know that the real world has been infected with another Luz posing as her real self.
