The Real Housewives of New York City Season 13: Everything We Know

The 12th installment of Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ aka RHONY wrapped up with some crazy revelations. The three-part reunions have made it pretty clear that the past is not leaving the ladies, not so soon! The dynamics between the cast have changed drastically and season 12’s conclusion seems like the start of another story! So what does this mean? Is a 13th outing underway? Might be! But there may also be some major shake-up within the star-studded crew. Want to know more details? We have the latest updates for the next season, which we have covered in this preview for RHONY season 13.

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 13 Release Date:

‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ season 12 premiered on April 2, 2020, on Bravo. It ended with its 24th episode on September 24, 2020, followed by a special episode (‘Secrets Revealed’) on October 1, 2020.

First things first. At the time of writing, Bravo has not officially renewed the reality series. But we have enough teasers to confirm that a 13th edition is in the works. EP Andy Cohen had confirmed in August 2020 that the cabler is working on the new season. He also added that he is pretty excited about whatever the team has planned for the upcoming episodes. Here’s what the tv personality said to Us Weekly while promoting Hotel Artois at Home, a virtual 5-star hotel experience by Stella Artois: “We’re working on next season. I’m excited about what we have planned.”

As per sources, production for season 13 had commenced in September 2020. We do not have an official release date yet. But if things move smoothly in the following months, ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ season 13 will most probably release sometime in April 2021. RHONY usually follows the housewives from Labor Day through Christmas or early January each year.

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 13 Cast: Who Can be in it?

The 12th season features Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, Tinsley Mortimer, and Leah McSweeney as the lead stars. Leah had joined the 12th outing as a newcomer. In season 13, Luann, Ramona, Sonja, and Leah have confirmed to make a comeback. However, we won’t be seeing Tinsley, who had announced her exit in the midst of season 12. She stated that she would be moving to Chicago to be with fiancé Scott Kluth. In August 2020, Dorinda also said that she won’t be returning as well.

To make up for the absence of Dorinda and Tinsley, Bravo is planning some major cast shake-up. The network wants to add more diversity to the show. Even housewife Leah had expressed her opinions about wishing to have more ladies from different races, backgrounds, and interests. Reportedly, motivational speaker Bershan Shaw will be RHONY’s first Black cast member. We also have heard that the Daily Mail’s Senior News Correspondent Alicia Quarles will be joining the show. Well, once we have a concrete list of the new housewives who will appear in season 13, we will update this section.
