The Resident Season 3 Episode 16 Recap:
This week, The Resident delivers an hourly ride, packed with romance and proposals. The episode is aptly titled ‘Reverse Cinderella’. First, Irving proposes to Jessica. He is helped in the task by his peers and colleagues from the hospital as he pops the question accompanied by some verses from none other than Shakespeare.
Next up is Conrad. He had not planned for the moment but just decides to express himself spontaneously. He gets down on a knee and asks Nic if she wants to marry him. Well, she almost instantly accepts without even allowing Conrad to finish his proposal.
Fans already knew that this was coming. In episode 10, Conrad even confides in Devon that he plans on spending his life with Nic. But then after his departure from Chastain, the gesture gets postponed. He had previously already purchased the engagement ring and decided that the next best logical step in their relationship would be to tie the knot. When Conrad pops the question to Nic, he says: “What matters is that we just keep trying to make each other better. What matters is that we belong together.”
After completing whatever he had to say, Conrad pulls out the ring that he had been carrying in his coat pocket for all this while. Nic accepts saying: “I have never been so sure of anything in my life”.
