The Simpsons S31 E15: Everything we Know

‘The Simpsons’ might easily be one of the most influential television shows of all time. Its impact on popular culture cannot be understated and the animated series has been a tour-de-force when it comes to mirroring real-life events over the course of its thirty-one seasons (so far).

In fact, its mirroring of real-world events has been so on-point that the show has even predicted actual events several years in advance. For example, it predicted Trump being elected as the President of the United States.

Hence, ‘The Simpsons’ leads Fox’s ‘Animation Domination’ lineup justifiably. The slate of adult animated sitcoms is aired on the network every Sunday. ‘The Simpsons’ is credited with bringing adult animation to the forefront. Hence, the series’ place in ‘Animation Domination’ is further bolstered.

‘The Simpsons’ has time and again proven to find the perfect balance between silly humor and social commentary. That is what makes the series so successful. Its usage of animation to delve into some outlandish plots is also something that makes the show stand out.

The Simpsons Season 31 Episode 14 Recap:

The fourteenth episode of the thirty-first season of ‘The Simpsons’ serves to be a parody of ‘The Avengers.’ In the episode, they are referred to as “The Vindicators.” It starts with Bart getting hold of a copy (he gets his hands on a secret Marble (what Disney is referred to as) laptop) of the last installment of “The Vindicators” movie. Threatening to spoil the movie before the premiere, Bart blackmails the entire town.

Even Homer gets in on Bart’s blackmailing because he wants free beer at Moe’s. Bart tries to get free stuff from the comic book store, Android’s Dungeon. He even gets the town to build him a new treehouse just for himself.

Responding to the threat of the final “The Vindicators” movie being spoiled, the Marble corporation has Bart, Marge and Homer kidnapped. They place a bomb in the Simpsons house. Then they make Bart, Marge and Homer go through a VR experience. Using that, they erase their desire to spoil the movie.
