The Simpsons Season 31 Episode 16 Recap:

The sixteenth episode of the thirty-first season of ‘The Simpsons’ is titled ‘Better Off Ned.’ Bart gets his hands on his grandfather’s dud grenade and takes it to school. This obviously does not go down well and leads to a dangerous situation at school until Ned saves the day. The school expels Bart but Ned saves him by claiming to be able to change him.

Homer thinks that this is the perfect situation for him since Bart won’t get expelled and he (Homer) will not have to put any parenting effort himself. Surprisingly, Ned manages to positively change Bart. This makes Homer jealous.

As a result, Homer decides to mentor Nelson. The two hit it off. However, their bond eventually wears off and things return to normal in a hilarious manner.
