6. Madam C.J. Walker (2020-)
‘Madam C.J. Walker’ is an upcoming drama series that tells a tale of self-emancipation, and coming from a lifetime of cultural oppression to express and realize one’s true potential. Understandably, due to colonization and its aftermath, it is doubly difficult for colored people to realize their potential, because they have to fight against the systemic oppression and hurdles. However, many manage to make it big and deserve to be celebrated. Madam C.J. Walker’s story is one such example.
She is a trailblazing African American woman, who went on to build her own haircare empire from the ground up, in the process, becoming America’s first female self-made millionaire. The series is a take on intersectional difficulties that have to be faced, that is, being a woman, an being an African American on top of that. It promises to be thought out and sensitive in its depiction of the struggles. Haddish appears in the role of Lelia, and will surely stand out with her performance.
5. Bob’s Burgers (2011 – )
Fox’s animation hit ‘Bob’s Burgers‘ is currently on its tenth season with a huge fan following and impressive figures on the rating map. The series chronicles the in-house drama of the Belcher family who runs a hamburger restaurant. The family consists of Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene.
Louise Jimmy Pesto is another burger restaurant owner and Bob’s arch-rival. Even though Bob’s burgers are better than Jimmy’s in quality and quantity, he always falls behind Jimmy’s sales figures. When it comes to selling burgers, the children of the family aren’t really helpful. As a result, the customers divert towards Jimmy Pesto’s restaurant.
Being a workaholic Bob takes a day off after the family pressurizes him to do so. But, he doesn’t know how to handle the day off and ends up at a local sandwich shop. The owner is Patricia, voiced by Tiffany Haddish, and Bob starts working for her. While an overwhelmed Bob works for Patrica, his family sets up a baby shower for a female biker group at the restaurant. As always, Tiffany Haddish steals the episode as the magnetic voice of Patricia. Fans can expect more encounters between Patricia and Bob in the tenth season.
4. The Last O.G. (2018 – )
Tiffany Haddish and Tracy Morgan play the made for each other couple in the TBS comedy ‘The Last O.G.‘ The series, which earned a season-two renewal last year, features the nuances of the domestic partnership the pair of the ex-partners, Bobby and Shay, Morgan and Haddish, adjusting to life after Shay is released from prison.
We see Shay keeping the letters Bobby sent from prison. On the other hand, Bobby is determined on his decision to become an expert chef. The show makes space for enough room for cat-fights, which the couple is notorious for. The show will be back for Season 3 in 2020.

To the surprise of her die-hard fans, Tiffany Haddish takes a break from her busy acting days to host a Netflix stand-up special, ‘Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready.’ The series consists of six half-hour episodes, each of which features an iconic stand-up comedian Haddish has handpicked.
The comedians’ list includes Tracey Ashley, April Macie, Flame Monroe, Aida Rodriguez, Chaunté Wayans, and Marlo Williams. Haddish appears in the role of Emma, the street singer. Placed front and center in the movie, the actress will be looking to bring her top performance so that the premise is heightened by the acting.

Netflix’s animated series ‘Tuca & Bertie’ stars Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong as bird-women. Haddish plays Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan, while Wong is Bertie, the insecure daydreamer songbird. The series is created by Lisa Hanawalt who was the supervising producer of ‘Bojack Horseman.’
Tuca & Bertie centers on the unnatural bond of friendship, developing between two 30-year-old bird women who reside in the same apartment. It also has Steven Yeun in an important role, with Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler, and Tessa Thompson as guest stars. ‘The Kitchen’ features an ensemble cast of Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elisabeth Moss in the lead roles. Based on the Vertigo comic book series, the crime drama is set in Hell’s kitchen. The plot follows three housewives of the ’70s, who take over the notorious Irish Mafia when their husbands were put behind the bars.
Contrary to the underworld’s expectations, the three women deal with bloodthirsty killers and brutal street goons with unmatched voracity. According to the director, Andrea Berloff, ‘The Kitchen’ turns upside down the stereotypes like women can’t run a mafia or comedians are not for bloody crime dramas. The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019)
‘The Angry Birds Movie 2‘ is a continuation of the story that the first film explores. Obviously, here we see the fight between the birds and the pigs reaching a different level of intensity. However, this time, the two have something else to worry about. A new threat emerges from Eagle Island, which plans on pitting the birds and pigs to ultimately reign over both.
Now, the enemies must put aside their differences and face this threat head-on. This results in a daring mission, as the conqueror’s true motives become clear as well. Moreover, it leads to new alliances being formed as the characters in the center learn more about themselves and even find love in the unlikeliest of circumstances. ‘Between Two Ferns: The Movie’ is the Netflix comedy that is bound to be familiar to anyone who has seen the talk show ‘Between Two Ferns’. Directed by Scott Aukerman, the movie stars Zach Galifianakis, who hosts the talk show in real life as well. The basic premise of the talk show is simple. An interview with a celebrity is conducted in spartan settings, distinguished by the presence of two ferns. Zach does not hold back during the interviews, choosing to give the celebrities a piece of his mind. As a result, the talk show is famous for its confrontational and uncomfortable questions.
The movie sees Zach do the same in a studio, but his streak soon ends when the studio floods. Zach’s boss is not amused and makes it clear that Zach must deliver a certain number of interviews if he wishes to have a crack at a prime talk show. With time running out, Zach and his crew hit the road to conduct a series of celebrity interviews.
