Netflix’s crime docu-series ‘Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness’ or ‘Tiger King,’ premiered in March 2020, and made all the true-crime enthusiasts fall in love. Not with the murder-for-hire schemer Joe Exotic obviously, but with the raw narrative that delves into the details which make you go, “No way! He actually did that?” Revolving around the deadly feud between tiger-breeder Joe Exotic and animal activist Carole Baskin, Eric Goode and Rebecca’s five-year investigative journey hit the mark with the audiences as well as the critics. Sharing the same DNA as ‘Fyre Festival’ and ‘Abducted in Plain Sight,’ the show was lauded for its fascinating approach at something so dark and unsettling.
Tiger King Season 2 Release Date
‘Tiger King’ season 1 premiered on March 20, 2020, on Netflix. All the seven hour-long episodes released on the same day.
As far as season 2 is concerned, here’s what we know. Season 1 ends with Joe behind bars but those who have seen the show would agree that there are still many unanswered questions. For instance, what happened to Jeff Lowe and Doc Antle? Although fans can google everything they want to know, seeing it unfold in front of our eyes is a different feeling altogether. Even though, the show warrants another season, it is unlikely to return unless something significant happens in Joe’s life — if he is released from prison, which again is unlikely. The show has been labeled as limited series, which is an indication that it won’t come back.
If at all ‘Tiger King’ season 2 happens, it can only release sometime after 2022.
Tiger King Cast: Who is in it?

It also features interviews of the significant people in Joe’s life, like Bhagavan “Doc” Antle, Doc’s multiple wives, Joe’s husbands – John and Travis, journalist Rick Kirkham, Jeff Lowe, Jeff’s wife, police officials, workers at Jeff’s zoo, animal rights activists, and many others
Tiger King Plot: What can it be About?
Season 1 puts the spotlight into the unconventional life story of Joe Exotic, who is now in prison on the charges of murder-for-hire, falsification of wildlife records, and violation of the Endangered Species Act and Lacey Act. Throughout the show, we see how Joe, an Oklahoma zookeeper, leads his life of crime and passion, not afraid of killing tigers for fun; threatening his rival, Carole Baskin, the Big Cat Rescue Wildlife Sanctuary founder, on a YouTube video. He even goes to extreme lengths to exact revenge on her. Yes, he hires two hit-men, paying them a huge price, to murder Carole. Not once, but twice. The show highlights the ups and downs of his career and polygamous love life, while also showcasing how he loses his empire and throne as the Tiger King.
In season 2, we can expect to see some more excerpts from Joe’s life. The season might also feature more interviews from people who are/were a part of Joe’s journey, who might provide details on his journey from the infamous Zookeeper and Video artist to a convict, serving a sentence of 22 years.
