Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Episode 7 Recap

After finding out that Hanako actually killed someone before he became a ghost, Yashiro finds it hard to look him in the eye. She feels really bad for him and it finally hits her that he’s actually dead. All this while she treated him as a normal person but after knowing all about him in the library, she can’t help but feel sorry for him. Hanako notices that she’s acting strange and even asks her what’s wrong, but Yashiro does not say anything and takes her time to recover from this. Later, Minamoto approaches her and asks her for help. He tells her that he’s really bad at cooking but wants to make doughnuts. Yashiro agrees to help him out.

They soon start working on the doughnuts and while they’re at it, Yashiro recalls everything that happened to Hanako. Minamoto even tries to help by making her understand that all that was just Hanako’s past and she should leave it all behind. Soon after this, they end up creating the best batch of donuts and that’s when Minamoto’s elder brother interrupts them. Yashiro takes her share of the doughnuts and goes out to talk to Hanako. When she meets him, she apologizes for her behavior and gives him some doughnuts, but before he can taste them, a black crane appears out of nowhere and tries to attack them. Using his knife, Hanako slashes the crane and it takes the shape of a boy who claims to be Amane—the boy Hanako had killed before his death.

This visit from Amane’s spirit really disturbs Hanako and following this, he does not show up in the Girl’s Bathroom for days. With this, Yashiro begins to wonder what really happened between the two boys back when they were in school. In the meantime, Minamoto runs into an “evil spirit” at school and captures it. The evil spirit does not really protest at first but then it gets a sudden outburst of rage because of the way Minamoto treats her and it lashes out on him.
