When Will Truth Be Told Episode 4 Premiere On Apple TV+?

Truth Be Told is a true crime show that airs on Apple TV+. It has been created by Nichelle Trambell Spellman and is an adaptation of the novel ‘Are You Sleeping’ by Kathleen Barber. One of the executive producers of the show is Reese Witherspoon, who was recently seen on another Apple TV+ drama called ‘The Morning Show‘.

The show revolves around a podcast host, an African-American woman, trying to prove the innocence of a man, a White supremacist, convicted for a crime that he allegedly committed 19 years ago. Interestingly, it was the host herself who helped in his conviction in the first place. This not only creates all kinds of dilemmas that she has to confront, but also takes a toll on her conscience.

Truth Be Told Episode 4 Release Date

Truth be Told season 1 premiered on the Apple TV+ on December 6, 2019. The first three episodes released on Day 1 and then the rest of the episodes are planned to come out weekly on every Friday. Which means, Truth be Told episode 4 will release on December 13, 2019 at 12 AM PT on Apple TV+.

The show is spread across 10 episodes. Some of the elements of the show will remind you of ‘How To Get Away With Murder‘, with a black woman fighting her way to seek justice, and ‘The Sinner’, where you will realize that the actual truth lies in the head of the psychologically troubled women.

The show is also a scathing criticism of media and its insensitively, and how it hampers the minds of those grieving from pain and loss. While the initial reviews of the show haven’t been all that great, you can still watch it for the really talented actors at the top of their game.

There has no word yet on show’s renewal, but given the lukewarm response, it is unlikely that we will ever see Truth be Told season 2. So, enjoy it while it lasts.

Truth Be Told Plot: What is it about?

19 years ago, a crime was committed that shook everyone involved with it. Chuck Burhman was murdered brutally at his own house while his wife and daughters were sleeping. After the investigation, family’s 17-year-old neighbor, Warren was arrested. During the course of the investigations, the writing of a journalist named Poppy Parnell proved to be quite instrumental in getting Warren convicted of the crime.

In the present day, Poppy, now a true crime podcaster, finds a hidden evidence that proves one of the witnesses that came forward during the trial might have been coerced. She makes up her mind and takes the decision to re-investigate the case based on a piece of small but vital information. She visits the prison to meet Warren and finds out that in almost two decades, he has become an active member of a white supremacist group called Aryan Brotherhood. Needless to say, Warren is not at all happy to see her. Being from the black community, helping a white Nazi does not sit well with Poppy’s family. Despite the constant persuasion to drop the case, she refuses to give in and proceeds further into the investigation.

She meets with Warren’s mother, Elizabeth, who is dying of cancer. Elizabeth shares her wish of seeing her son released from prison as an innocent man. She helps Poppy in the investigation and calls her ex-husband, Owen, who soon becomes a suspect in the crime.
