Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Episode 3: What to Expect?

Based on a light novel series written by Kei Azumi and illustrated by Mitsuaki Matsumoto, ‘Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy’ or ‘Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu’ is an isekai fantasy TV anime. The show carefully treads the line between self-awareness and an ardent exploration of the oversaturated isekai genre. The story follows Makoto Misumi, an ordinary teenager, who meets Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, the god of the moon of Japanese mythology, and learns from him that his parents are originally from an alternate world. When they came to Earth, they made a deal with the goddess of that world that they will send one of the children back. Makoto takes the entire thing surprisingly well and accepts his fate.

However, the goddess rejects him because she doesn’t find him physically attractive and promptly discards him. Because of such actions by the goddess, Tsukuyomi deems Makoto to be free to pursue his own destiny in this new world. The anime premiered on July 7, 2021. Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Episode 3 Spoilers

In episode 2, after their contract is created, the greater dragon Shen transforms into a woman. She explains that Makoto is the dominant one in their contract, so she changed into a human. She then shows him a demiplane that she controls. However, they discover that it has turned into a lush, green land from a dark, empty space when they get there. They realize that this is happened because of Makoto’s influence. Realizing that Shen had nothing to do with the sacrifices demanded from the highland orcs, Makoto takes her to their village.

As Makoto has mentioned that he wants to build a city in the demiplane, Shen invites the highland orcs to relocate there. They agree and effectively become the first group of settlers in the demiplane. Shen creates a fragment of herself in the form of a younger woman and puts her in charge of protecting the orcs. Suddenly, the Black Spider of Disaster shows up, chasing after an elder dwarf. No matter how many times Makoto disintegrates it, its incredible regenerating abilities keep bringing it back. And it seems to enjoy the pain that Makoto inflicts on it.

Makoto eventually falls unconscious, and Shen steps in. She suggests that Spider should form a similar contract with Makoto as her. The Spider agrees after some consideration. When Makoto eventually wakes up in his tent, he finds a young girl with black hair waiting for him. In episode 3, Makoto will have his first encounter with the humans of this world. He and his companions might visit the city of Zetsuya and register in the adventurer’s guild.
