Tom demands an apology from Rachel, and soon their confrontation escalates. There’s a chase, but she’s able to elude him and drop Kyle at school.
However, Tom gets hold of her planner and wreaks havoc – killing the divorce lawyer she was supposed to meet, murdering Rachel’s brother’s girlfriend, and even setting him on fire. Tom keeps following Rachel to her mother’s old house – where the latter asks Kyle to hide. Tom attacks her and plans to go after Kyle, but a pair of scissors through his eye stops him dead in his tracks. The film ends with Rachel deciding not to honk at the next driver who cuts across their path.
