War of the Worlds Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
With every episode, ‘War of the Worlds’ just gets bleaker. In the fifth part of season 2, Emily and Sacha dial up their romance. Kariem is fully aware that the latter has a dark heart that could harm Emily if she continues to spend time with him. Elsewhere, Bill asks Zoe about Tom, whose personal life hasn’t been disclosed just yet. On the other hand, Catherine and Sophia successfully cross the London border and keep looking for Bill, the scientist who invented the virus that caused the genetic anomaly that has afflicted the Invaders.
The sisters enter a building where they find a heap of information that could be of use to them. They spend the night in the confines of the shady building. Meanwhile, it is also suspected that Bob killed Lilly, and her boyfriend Dylan, in turn, died by suicide. Before that, he left a video delineating all the scientific possibilities that must have shaped their world. The concept of parallel universes might also have something to do with the fact that Emily and Sacha have seen visions of their future selves together.
Meanwhile, the Invaders are still violently taking numerous lives without the slightest hint of hesitation. Even the ones related to the clan have the potential to turn against each other. Jokim’s brutal killing of Micah is one such example. The only hope at this point is Catherine, who is at least trying to change the course of the world. As the episode ends, we see the characters devise new plans to conquer one another.
