Westworld S03 E03: What’s in Store?

Westworld‘ is a sci-fi television series that manages to pose some seriously complex philosophical questions. The fact that it does so while maintaining an extremely engaging and action-packed plot is extraordinary.

The second episode of the third season does not disappoint as well and sees Maeve breaking out of a Nazi-themed simulation only to find out that she is being controlled by a human named Serac. Meanwhile, Bernard is also given a purpose/motif for the third installment of the series and it turns out to be one that holds more promise than any of his previous ventures.

Westworld Season 3 Episode 3 Spoilers: What to Expect?

The writers of ‘Westworld’ are smarter than any viewer and by now, nobody should be questioning that. The second episode of the third season is completely devoted to Maeve and Bernard, with Dolores missing in action. This is just one of the ways the show subverts any expectations. Another one is perhaps how the Nazi-themed amusement park which was teased in the third season’s trailer is most probably done away with in the second episode itself.

The third episode of the third season is titled ‘The Absence of Field’ and it is tough to speculate what it is going to be about from the title alone. However, if Maeve is featured in the third episode, viewers can expect some clarity regarding Serac and his role in the plot. What are his intentions and motivations? We cannot tell at this point. However, Maeve will most likely have to go through the tedious process of breaking out of a repeated cycle again.

Moreover, we had speculated that viewers might find out the nature of Caleb and Dolores’ relationship in the second episode of the third season. Since that did not happen, one might expect Dolores’ story to continue from where it left off at the end of the first episode of the third season. It will be intriguing to see what her greater plan to take down humanity is and viewers might be given an inkling to that.
