Haikyuu!! Season 5 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?

‘Haikyuu!!’ season 4, also known as ‘Haikyū!! To The Top’, premiered on January 11, 2020, and aired 25 episodes before ending on December 19, 2020. For the first time in the show’s history, a season was split into 2 cours this year. Because of the COVID pandemic, there was a five-month gap between the conclusion of cour 1 and the broadcasting of the first episode of cour 2. As for season 5, the producers are yet to release an official statement on the subject. However, ‘Haikyuu’ is by far one of the most-watched TV anime in the world, so it’s only a matter of time before it gets renewed for season 5. If that happens in early 2021, production will likely begin within a few months after that, and ‘Haikyuu!!’ season 5 will likely release sometime in mid to late 2021.

Haikyuu!! Season 5 Plot: What Can it be About?

In the season 4 finale, the players of Karasuno High are still finding it hard to believe that they have won against the much stronger Inarizaki. As the teammates congratulate each other, Kageyama and Hinata start bickering about who made the final block. The Inarizaki players are still shell-shocked after the defeat and realize that they need much retrospection. Daichi is thankful that the fans of the team were there to cheer them during the match. Otherwise, he isn’t sure what might have happened. All of the Karasuno players are deeply exhausted and can’t wait to get some sleep, except for Hinata, who proclaims that he can play another game. After the much-deserved win against such a great opponent, the players have earned at least some rest. The next team they face will be the formidable Nekoma High.

In season 5, the content of chapter 293 onwards of the manga series will be adapted for the anime. The match between Karasuno and Nekoma might be the main plotline. As it has become the norm with the show, it might reveal the backstories of various Nekoma players and staff members through flashbacks.
