What is Murder on Middle Beach About?
A film school graduate does his own investigation into the real-life murder of his mother and comes up with some answers and a few new questions. On March 3rd, 2010, the dead body of Barbara Hamburg, who had been stabbed and bludgeoned to death, was discovered on her front lawn. Her son, Madison Hamburg, was 19 and at film school at the time when he received the phone call from his sister Ali tearfully informing him of their mother’s horrifying fate. In 2013, the case was closed by the police, despite it being unsolved. As Madison turns to his own family for answers and some dark truths emerge about his mom (like her shady involvement in a local pyramid scheme), he starts to suspect everyone. But the three with the most direct motive are his father, sister, and aunt.
