Why Women Kill Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

In episode 7, titled ‘The Woman in Question,’ Carlo’s death has Rita flying over the moon until the moment when the police show up with a search warrant. They scrounge inside her purse, revealing the giant syringe Alma had dumped in it. Rita is then taken away by the cops. There seem to be fewer options available for her now that Catherine has called for their house lawyer’s services instead of letting him help Rita. She calls Isobel to get cash and the photos from Vern as Catherine is secretly listening to their conversation. She desperately tries to look for the pictures after Isobel’s arrival but instead finds a stack of letters.

As the ladies gossip about Rita, Vern, on the other hand, is convinced that she is innocent. Rita is surprised to learn that Catherine is still in touch with Scooter. He then decides to stop visiting Rita in case the police suspect him. Alma is scared at the thought of Vern investigating the case after he reveals that he is a private detective. But she still thinks he is fit to be Dee’s partner and wishes them luck for their engagement ahead. However, Vern finally admits that Rita has asked to be his client and opens up about the latest evidence that he has found. Bertram cannot believe that his wife deceived him!

On top of that, it is only a matter of time before they are exposed if Vern takes up the case. Catherine divulges information about the pictures but is shocked to learn that Scooter is already aware of them. She apologies to him, hoping Scooter doesn’t dump her, and is relieved when he doesn’t. The only reason Alma framed Rita is because of her harsh behavior at the garden club. Bertram is still reeling from shock. The next day, Vern asks Rita to list out the names of all her enemies and the people she has wronged. In the end, Isobel skims through the photos only to find Alma’s face in one of the frames.
