Robert Eggers is back in the director’s chair once again with ‘The Northman’. He has already established himself as a director to watch out for with back to back hits including ‘The Witch’, followed by ‘The Lighthouse‘. Now, he is gearing up for a revenge film. Knowing Eggers, he will capture the human condition brilliantly, focusing on the psyche and how the mind is distorted by the need for revenge. It could very well turn out to be a tale of how consuming revenge can turn out to be.

However, what is even more exciting about ‘The Northman’ is the fact that this story of revenge is set in Iceland at the turn of the 10th century. Yes, this will be a Viking revenge drama. Anya Taylor-Joy is collaborating with him once again, and we can just picture the actress as a Viking, fierce in her own way, but not afraid to portray the fragility of humanity. Anya Taylor-Joy lends her voice to Marla and the actress has done a stellar job at breathing life into the character. ‘Playmobil: The Movie’ released on December 6, 2019.
