15 Biggest Mistakes in Bollywood Movies That We Bet You Did Not Notice

10. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)

A Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, grand in every sense of the word, had some ‘monumental’ goof-ups too! When Ajay Devgn accompanies Aishwarya Rai to Italy in search of Salman Khan, nobody told the duo they were in Hungary instead! Right from the signposts on the roads to people speaking the native language, the bridge towards the climax too is in Hungary! Next time Mr. Bhansali, make sure how you hold a country’s flag before you plan to go there!

9. Baghban (2003)

This Ravi Chopra movie touched the hearts of many elderly couples that either stayed apart or were abandoned when they needed their children the most. But when one commits factual mistakes, they ought to be abandoned too! The entire Malhotra parivar celebrates Holi before the sons decide to put the parents through an ordeal. But later Amitabh Bachchan is seen singing and dancing to the Chali chali song, supposed to be a Valentine’s Day celebration. We wonder when was Holi ever celebrated before the month of February?!

8. Gunda (1998)

A gold mine of errors, this Kanti Shah film, despite being a huge dud, enjoys a cult status, with IMDb giving it a 7.6 rating! The dialogues, the (over)acting, the drama and the action were all so over-the-top that one couldn’t help but laugh their guts out. If the weird names of characters weren’t enough, the sloppy editing and continuity errors added to the woes. But one scene, etched deeply in our minds is when Mithun Chakraborty takes cover behind a bicycle, while firing bullets at the minister’s convoy! Guess Mithunda can do just about anything!

7. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)

When your sister tells you she’s making a film and you get to vacay in Spain with your best buddies, you jump in without asking any logical questions or doing a quick research on the festivals of Spain! Sample this: The San Fermin or running of the bulls festival is celebrated in mid-July, following which is the La Tomatina Festival, on the last Wednesday of August. Not only did Zoya Akhtar get the sequence of the festivals wrong, she also goofed up the time span and made them happen just three-weeks apart! Talk of star power!

6. Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)

This film was Yash Chopra’s swan song and he did his best to make it memorable. The film starred SRK as an Army major, precisely a bomb-disposal expert. The film hopped, skipped and jumped into present day from flashbacks, making it a bit jarring, but amid all this frolicking, what ruined all the fun was Shah Rukh’s character Samar enlisting in the Indian Army at the age of 29. In reality, the maximum age limit for serving in the army is 25 years. You should’ve gotten your facts right, Sir; it is the Indian Army, not a garden!
